Routine

At the ripe old age of 25 and 3/4, I have come to a point in my life where I absolutely love having a routine. I love structure, organization, having a plan, keeping a calendar, and marking things off as I go through my day. It sounds incredibly boring, but I don't really think I'm a boring person . . . I think I just really love knowing what's going to happen before it happens. :)

I can be somewhat sentimental when it comes to the passage of time and trying to document little things that tell a story. I decided today that I should take some pictures to document my day-to-day routine. I'm sure that one day down the road I will want to remember what it was like to be Stacy Cross at 25 years old. What did I do? What did my house look like? What did I love? Just for fun, I've decided to put a few up here - hope this doesn't bore you to tears!

These things are all a little part of who I am. :)

I can't stop playing with their engagement pics! :) I designed a sample album from Kasey & Shelby's pictures to show my brides and grooms. It had been a few months since I last looked at these pictures and I fell in love all over again. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding in June!

Cleaning house for Mom

Ugh. Only Mom is worth it! My parents are coming to town this weekend for Mother's Day, so tomorrow I am cleaning the WHOLE house. I was just talking with my friend Jamie the other day about how I really am such a neat freak, but that my inability to start something without finishing it takes over and scares me into not even starting to clean because I'm so affraid I won't be able to get it all done. SO, I have decided that tomorrow I am taking the day to clean the heck out of my house and I'm not stopping for anyone or anything (except email, meals, and the View :))!

I wanted to take this opportunity to say Happy Mother's Day to some of the Moms I'll be thinking of this weekend:

- Carolyn, my wonderful, sweet mom and good friend
- Dianne, my 2nd mom/aka mother-in-law and the best 2nd mom I could have ever asked for
- Grandma Kay (my beautiful good pal and g-ma) and Nana Nell (Stan's sassy, fun g-ma)
- Darcy McG, my dear friend and mommy to my awesome little guy Aiden
- Victoria, my cousin-in-law who might as well be my sister cause I like her so much - mom to adorable Ben
- Traci, my photog friend in San Antonio who will be a mom for the first time soon!
- RZ - if you read this, I'll be thinking of you - but I know you don't like attention! :)

Finally got a haircut!

I've been growing my hair out for about a year for Krissy's wedding last Saturday. Now that the wedding is over, I have chopped my hair off and I feel like me again! :) Short hair is so great!

Old School Monday (woops.)

Well, I guess I forgot about Old School Monday yesterday - sorry! :) However, I am posting the pictures today - same game as last time: guess the bride and/or groom's name and win a groovy prize. Unfortunately nobody won last week (though someone did get close with a guess of Brad and Angelina) but that just means more prizes are left.

Mission Accomplished!

Mission = get Chris and Krissy hitched

Chris and Krissy's wedding was SOOO wonderful and I loved being a part of it! :) We all had so much fun together and I feel like I laughed non-stop from Friday afternoon at 4pm when the rehearsal started until Saturday at midnight when we left the reception. My buddy and amazing fellow photographer, Tyler Schmitt, shot their wedding and did a really great job! Here's a few of the pictures he took - he was kind enough to share them with me so I could show yall what I was up to - thanks, Tyler! :)

Great weekend coming up!

I am SO happy because my dear friend Krissy is getting married tomorrow finally! :) I am a bridesmatron and am really excited about my bridesmatronly duties: hanging out with friends, having fun, partying, and having more fun! :) Oh, and I have to get my hair done, too - yay!

Just wanted to say sorry for not blogging in a few days - I took my nursing school final today and I did really well and I'm so thrilled about it! This weekend will be exactly what I need after weeks of studying (okay maybe not week(s) ).

I will be sure to post lots of pics from Krissy's wedding. I will have my point-and-shoot in tow, but hopefully my good pal Tyler will let me borrow a few pro pics of us to put up on the blog. :) He's so cool and I'm so happy Chris and Krissy chose him to shoot their wedding - he's fabulous!

Anyway, I have to run now, but here's a few pictures of the engagement pictures I shot of Chris and Krissy last fall. They are such a beautiful couple - and I can't wait to see the look on Chris's face when he sees Krissy walk down that isle. :)
