Ben's Christening and Easter

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This weekend was absolutely wonderful for so many reasons!

First, our little nephew Ben was Christened on Saturday and we had tons of family in town to celebrate. It was so great to just be surrounded by family all weekend long and to feel like part of something really special - it was such an honor to be there.

Everywhere we went, our group of 21 people packed in all together and had lots of fun! Ben was represented well at the Church - we took up three rows where most of the other families there only took up one or two rows at most.

Jeff and Victoria are such incredible parents and we are so lucky to have them right here in Austin so that we can see them and little Ben frequently - I cannot get enough of that baby! I kept threatening to take the baby home with me......well, I also threatened a few times that I was going to keep grandma too, but that's another story!

To our family: We love you ALL and were so blessed to share this weekend with you. Even to those of you to whom we are simply related by marriage (all of Victoria's family), we consider you family and loved spending time with you!

Here's a few pictures from the weekend. I'll give a little detail about each one:

This is Stan's immediate family (Stan, me, Dianne, Beth, and Stan III)

Glen and Katie (Victoria's sister) with baby Ben - these guys are SO fun!

The three Stans: Stan IV, Stan II (aka Grampie), and Stan III

Fun action shot

Here's a picture of me in action at Amy and Reese's Wedding - kinda fun. :) Lately Stan has been getting a lot of action shots of me while we're shooting weddings and I'm always so surprised by how I look - it's weird! A lot of times I'm in these crazy off the wall positions trying to get the perfect shot - I crack myself up with my dorky photographer ways! I'll have to post more action shots sometime soon so you can see what I mean!

A new look for a new vision

Hey everyone!

Thanks so much to all of you who faithfully read my blog and those of you who are just stopping by! :) Today is a very big day for me because I'm finally getting to unveil some of the new changes that I've made to the look of Stacy Cross Photography that fall more in line with what my vision is as a photographer. Please take a moment to skim through my website and check out all of the fun changes as I make them.

Besides changing my logo and colors completely, you may notice the word "experience" floating around a few places. This is because I've decided that this will be my slogan, my goal, and my focus: to create an incredible, unparalleled photography experience for you to match the unique life experience you are inviting me to capture. For me and everyone who works with Stacy Cross Photography, our focus is your experience - and making it an fabulous one!

Anyway, feel free to leave a comment and tell me how you feel about all of this or even if you just think my colors are pretty. :)

Blessings,
Stacy

Happy 27th Birthday, Stan!!!

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday and I plan to spend the whole day celebrating him! He is the most incredible man I've ever known and I am SOOOO lucky that I found him. You may remember that I took birthday portraits of our little dog Buddy in February. Well, I decided that Stan ALSO needed some birthday portraits taken, so I took some when we were at Grandma's - I think they turned out really great! I forgot to mention that Stan is a serious hottie. :)

Stan, I love you - happy birthday - thank you for being the incredible person you are!

Life Without Email

Hey Friends!

I am finding that life without email is very, very different......you can start to feel like you don't have any friends! : ) As many of you already know, my web server is currently down and my web people are busy trying to fix it, but in the meantime, I have had not access to my website OR my email. I found out today that I spend a LOT of time working on slideshows, emails, and my website - haha! I guess it really IS a job!

Since I had so much extra time today, I cleaned the heck out of my house - and I really mean it! It felt so good to go around and clean every single room and throw tons of stuff away. It's wierd because I was just talking to someone about this the other day, but, I really feel like my house being clean or dirty completely effects how I feel about life in general. Right now I feel great about life! I'm a little bit of an organizational freak, so this kind of makes sense.

Anyway, if you have been trying to reach me, please feel free to leave a comment or email me at stacycross@mac.com. Otherwise, I'm sure the server will be back up very soon and I'll get back to you then - thanks for your patience!

ALSO, tomorrow is STAN's Birthday, so PLEASE be sure to send him an email and make him feel loved no matter who you are!

His email address is: stan@crowncatering.com

Time with Grandma

Stan and I came back to Austin today but not before convincing my grandma that we needed to do a portrait session for her. We went over to her house and took some beautiful pictures of this remarkable, wonderful lady! My grandma is one of my dearest friends - we have always been close and I am so thankful for her. Believe it or not, she is 95 years old!! She plays bridge, square dances, volunteers at her church thrift shop, goes to water aerobics every morning at 5:30am, and eats cottage cheese with peaches every day for lunch. :) She's such a delight. Here's just a few pics from our time together today.

I just wanted to take a quick moment to say THANK YOU to all of you who read my blog and check out my website. I've gotten so much encouraging feedback about my work lately and it only spurs me on to produce greater photographs - you are my inspiration!

It is such a joy and a privilege to do what I do - thank you to all of you who have trusted me to capture your life's most important moments. It is wonderful to be a part of them and I'm so honored. Love and hugs to you all! - SC

Grrrr.......technology!

Most days I am SO thankful for all of the wonderful technological advances that help me do my fabulous job even more fabulously (made up word?).....but today I'm feeling grouchy towards technology. :)

I am currently having problems with my website and email - I have no access at all to my emails and for some reason, I cannot access my website from my PC, Mac, or my husband's PC. So, if you've tried to email me and have not gotten an answer from me in the last couple of days, you may want to re-send your email to my other address: stacycross@mac.com Of course, you can always call me, too! :)

My "web dude" (as I like to call him!) knows about these issues and is working on them.

Thanks for understanding!

Love
Stacy

Gabe & Jessica's Wedding

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of taking pictures at Gabe and Jessica's Wedding. At one point I turned to Jess and told her that I didn't know what I was going to do after I was finished photographing her wedding - I told her that I may have Jess and Gabe withdraws and that we may need to go get coffee sometime or something! :) Basically, I really love this couple - they are so sweet and so fun to be around. Darcy and I had a great time photographing their wedding! Their guests were wonderful and we got lots of really incredible moments.

Both the wedding and reception were at First Baptist Church downtown. This was also the flower girl's birthday, so the even had a birthday cake just for her - it was so cute! Hope you all love these pictures - it was fun spending this very special day with you!
