Clifton & Lindsey: Engaged!

I had so much fun with these two yesterday and I was so honored that they asked me to shoot their engagement pictures! Lindsey and I have been friends since waaay back in college and it is so awesome to see this girl in love! She is so beautiful and intelligent and just classy, so it was no surprise that she found a fabulous guy! The funny thing is, Clifton and I had several classes together in college at UT and I always thought he was a really cool dude. NEVER did it ever occur to me that these two would get together one day, but now that I see it, they are PERFECT for each other!

Stan and I are really sad we won't be able to make it to their wedding, but Stan is a groomsman in a wedding in Fort Worth that same day, so we will have to miss it. Clifton and Lindsey - our hearts will be filled with happiness and we'll be thinking about you guys all day! Thanks for giving me this opportunity to share in the joy of your joining together!

I knew the second that I took this picture that it would be my favorite. I LOVE this moment. How sweet are these two??

Eliza and Daddy

Rob called me last week with a plan to surprise his wife for their beautiful daughter's first birthday: to have portraits made of he and Eliza together to give to Sarah to celebrate the first year of their new family. I loved this idea and knew that I wanted to be a part of it, so Rob, Eliza, and I met at Auditorium Shores yesterday afternoon and had a great time getting some really lovely pictures of the two of them. I cannot wait to hear about Sarah's reaction when she sees these! Thanks Rob for allowing me the privilege to document your love for your daughter - it warmed my heart so much!

She's a city girl. :)

Corey and Sarah's Wedding!

Stan and I really enjoyed our trip to San Antonio this past weekend to photograph Corey & Sarah's wedding. We LOVE San Antonio and we decided to make it just a bit more special by staying downtown the night before and having a fun 24 hours of running around this fabulous city!

Sarah is the silliest, funniest bride you'll ever meet and she was as cool as could be even in the moments just before walking down the isle. She was just ready to marry her man and get on with the party! Corey is sweet, fun, and soft-spoken - a perfect match for Sarah! Together with their family and friends they celebrated their new life together - and Stan and I were so thankful to celebrate the day with them!

I loved her flowers! I think I'm becoming a flower geek . . . they're about to replace cakes as my favorite thing at a wedding!

Sarah's brother Jeff did the honors of walking her down the isle. This is the two of them rehearsing the "hand off". :)

The wedding and reception were at the gorgeous Canyon Springs Golf Club in Northwest San Antonio. The grounds were so awesome - and Stan and I especially appreciated that they had LONGHORNS! Hook 'em!

Sarah's sister Vicki helping her with the veil - this was an approach I've never seen before and I like it!

Corey's first look at his beautiful bride. I think this picture is so touching because you can tell that both Corey and his brother were so full of emotions right at this moment.

I heard later that Jeff made a dirty joke right before walking Sarah down the isle - this must have been that moment. :)

A few bridals

It started raining during the formals, so you see here that Stan is not only a fabulous 2nd shooter, but he is quite a wonderful rain shielder as well!

Party time!

Let me introduce you to the man I affectionately call "Groovesman" instead of groomsman because he was getting down NON STOP during the reception! (please make note of the excessive use of his suspenders in his dance moves throughout the rest of the pictures!)

Is she going to be able to catch the bouquet with that beer in her hand?!?!?!

YES! And no spills!

2008 Weddings!

I know it's crazy, but yes, it's true - my 2008 wedding calendar is almost completely full!!! I never expected it to fill up this quickly, but I'm thankful. :) Because I value having time to devote to each of my couples, I only shoot a maximum of 30 weddings a year and as of today I only have a few dates left until I hit that limit!

SOO, if you are trying to decide if you want me and my fabulous Stan to shoot your wedding, then please get in touch with me asap, so we can chat about it! Also, because of how quickly things are going, I cannot hold any dates without a contract and retainer. When I receive the contract and retainer from you, THAT is when you are officially booked and I will let you know that I got it! I just needed to be clear about that so that we don't accidentally miss the opportunity to work together! :)
