New Years Eve Eve

Hey guys!

Well, I cannot believe it's about to be 2007 - yipee! It's funny because I've never really been one to get excited about the New Year, but I can feel this deep anticipation and excitement for this new year. I cannot wait to see what God has for me this year - in business, school, relationships, challenges, and triumphs! I wish you all a very happy New Years Eve Eve and a peaceful and joyful 2007 - may every need be met and every prayer answered for you in this coming year!

Andy and Stephanie

We went out to Town Square in Southlake last night to take some pics of Andy and Steph - they are a cute, sweet couple and they responded graciously to my demands to "act romantic!" and "woo her!" :) Here's just a few.

Mac and Luke

Today I had a portrait session with two of the most fun, lively, crazy little boys on the planet: Mac and Luke! We ran all over the house and the yard and took billionz of pictures - it was great fun. :) The boys built gingerbread houses, jumped on the bed, wrestled, and threw leaves on me! I had a blast keeping up with them.

Emery Portraits

Stan and I arrived in Southlake to see his family today. My sister-in-law scheduled a portrait session for me for tonight with the lovely Miss Emery. We had such a great time bouncin' around the kids section of Barnes and Noble for these shots! (I keep telling you guys I'll go anywhere for a fun portrait session!) She is a sassy, fun, beautiful little lady. She refused to smile, but you know, you can pretty much do what you want when you're the "queen of the book store" (that's what I told her). Hope yall like them. :)

Cook family photos!

Tonight Stan and I had the honor of going over to the home of some good friends of ours through church, the Cooks. They are an AMAZING family - so filled with love and joy and it was so fun to get to take portraits on Ame's birthday!

We actually got to do this shoot because I donated a portrait session to a missions fundraiser at my church and the Cooks were the ones to bid on the session and win it! I was SO happy when I found out that they were the ones I would get to work with - I knew the pictures would be amazing simply because of the warmth of their family! Here's a few from today.

Whoever brought this thing to work . . .

As many of you know, I have come down with a terrible cold and am at home feeling so sorry for myself today. EVERYONE is sick - have you noticed?! I've never seen the winter bug go around quite like this!

Today at work, my friend Amy said she's going to "kill whoever brought this thing to work". I'm not sure who brought it to work, but I know how I got it - from a baby that sneezed in my face. :) Ew.

Here's my nursing school tidbit of information that I have to share with you today:

There are over 200 viruses that cause what we call the "common cold". Each time you get one of these cold viruses, you become immune to it and will never get it again, but will actually get a totally different one of the 200 the next time. So, those of you who get sick ALL of the time, count up how many times you've had a cold, and you're that much closer to lifetime immunity . . .and to eventually taking over the world!

Stan and I have been married for 4 1/2 years and I am so blessed to say that I truly found "the one" for me. He is the most loving, giving, intelligent, and handsome man in the world and I am so thankful to call him my husband. Part of why we love what we do is because we believe in marriage! We have known what it's like to marry your best friend and how awesome it is to get to build a life together. It's really incredible.

More family portraits!

Yesterday I took some family potraits for Carmen, Mark, and Max - they were such a loving family and we had a great time playing around in the back yard. This is my favorite way to do portraits - just natural, laid-back, and real.
