James and Nicole's Engagement Pics!
Yesterday's weather was absolutely, 100% PERFECT for portraits - I was in heaven! And I could not have shared the day with a sweeter, cuter couple. James, Nicole, and I headed out to the capitol and took some great pictures on the grounds. James brought the box that Nicole's engagement ring came in, so I had him re-enact his proposal. Well, while we were taking pictures of this, some onlookers thought that they were actually getting engaged and started cheering! It was so funny. Enjoy!
Here's the link to their *slideshow*!

Have a great weekend
Today I have an Anniversary Party that I'm shooting and tomorrow I have an engagement session - these will make for a really fun weekend for me! :) Yall know that I love to shoot (people) more than anything in the world....I'm still so amazed that I make money doing this. It's crazy! Anyway, hope you, too, have a fun weekend planned! Our next door neighbors have one of those blow-up bouncy castle things today.....I think it must be somebody's birthday. All I know is that I'm keeping my eyes open for cupcakes!

Spring Break
Hello friends!
Well, I guess I'm technically on spring break - though the fun times of photography never take a vacation! I am very pleased to say that I am not in school this week....though that has not stopped the homework from having to be done.
My sister-in-law and very good buddy Elizabeth is in town from Southlake visiting us this week. We are so happy that she decided to spend some of her spring break with us! She's a teacher and she said something SO funny yesterday as we were driving to the outlet mall:
"I had no idea when I was in school that spring break was for the teachers....so they wouldn't kill us!" - Elizabeth
I laughed pretty hard. :)
I also have a couple of portrait sessions this week and I really enjoy them, so I'm happy about it.
Now, I'm not trying to turn this into anything political at all, so please don't be mad, but I wanted to share that I'm reading Barack Obama's book, "The Audacity of Hope" right now and I'm really enjoying it. First of all, it's a major page-turner and I cannot put it down. :) I think that no matter what your political views are, it can be beneficial to see what the people in power have to say and to get an idea of what everyone thinks. I'm usually not that in to political books, but I have to honestly say that I find Obama's ideas very refreshing and his writing style enjoyable. Anyway, that's what I'm up to.
Elizabeth and I are going to Ikea this afternoon, which is VERY exciting for me! She's never been before (I know, crazy!) so I will be showing her the ropes. :)
Hope you all are having a wonderful spring break!
Blessings,
S

I love Senior Portraits!

It's time for Senior Portraits again and I'm so excited! I just have so much fun on these photo shoots - talking with all of the seniors about the plans they have for college and life in general. :) It's always so enjoyable and the pictures turn out great! I was able to get together with Hallie the other day to shoot her senior portraits - this girl is so sweet AND beautiful....we had a great time! Here's just a few from the day.

Reese and Amy's Fabulous Wedding
*UPDATE* - If you are a family member or friend of Amy and Reese, I have uploaded all of the pictures from their wedding day to the online viewing and ordering gallery. The password is Amy's maiden name - if you need help, just email me (stacy@stacycross.com). If you think you'll want to look at all 700 pictures, I suggest viewing them in slideshow mode - you will be able to pause the slideshow to add pictures to your order as you go - very easy! I hope you all love them. :)
Hey guys -
Well, I'm busy doing TONS of editing (which yall know I love!) of Reese and Amy's Sunday wedding. It was SO much fun - these two could not have a better group of family and friends - they made Stan and I feel so at home! The wedding was beautiful and the reception was such a blast. Since we took bazillions of pictures and there's a lot more to do with them, I thought I'd quickly post a couple from the day. We didn't see any kites where we were, but it didn't matter - we got hundreds of INCREDIBLE pictures....I've never had this many favorites before! I promise more very soon! Enjoy. :)

So excited about tomorrow! :)
Tomorrow I'm shooting a wedding for the wonderful Amy and Reese at Zilker Park and we just recently found out that the Zilker Kite Festival is going to be taking place at the same time! While many brides could have freaked out about this, Amy was like "Well, I'm sure it's going to make for some wonderful pictures!" And she is SO right......I cannot wait to see what fun things we can set up for some great bride/groom/kite pictures. :) Stay tuned - I should have a few up on the blog by Monday or Tuesday!

Gabe + Jessica
Yesterday I went out with Gabe and Jessica to shoot their engagement pictures. It was the first time I met Gabe, and I was so impressed by what a funny, sweet guy he is! I enjoyed getting to see the love between these two and how they just really honor and care for each other - what a sweet couple. Here's a few from our session:

Family Portraits!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking family portraits for our very dear friends Sean, Darcy, Aiden, and Toby! Sean, Darcy, Stan, and I have been friends for a very long time. Their son Aiden was born almost a year ago and Stan and I have been in love with him ever since! And let's not forget Toby, who is Buddy's best friend in the whole universe. We had so much fun yesterday and I know that Darcy is DYING for me to get these pictures up, so here they are!
