I am so honored to present to you my dear friend Kate and her wonderful fiance Davis!
Kate and I have been friends since I was in high school. We met at Camp Allen and were instant friends. When she moved away to UT, I basically made her dorm room my 2nd home and took as many trips as possible to Austin to see she and our other Longhorn friends.
Kate is a huge part of the reason why I decided to come to Austin and attend the University of Texas after I graduated high school. She's an even bigger reason that I lived at SRD (Scottish Rite Dormitory) my freshman year of college and there's so much GOOD in my life now that has come from that time. I have Kate to thank for helping pave the way for a very happy and successful college experience for me. Beyond all of that, I truly LOVE and enjoy the heck out of her! She is one of my funniest friends EVER and we have so many incredible memories together!
Needless to say, I was unbelievably honored when I received an enthusiastic phone call from Kate, letting me know that she had gotten engaged and that she wanted me to be her wedding photographer! I was (and still am) completely beside myself at the thought of shooting Kate's wedding. It is a huge honor to get to share her day with her.
Then came Davis. Davis and I didn't meet until the other day when we got together for their engagement session. WOW. He is PERFECT for Kate. Davis is a kind, classy, funny, intelligent, good-lookin' guy and I am so thrilled that he has asked my friend to marry him. I 110% approve of Kate's choice in a husband! What a great match!
Anyway, I know I've blah blah blahed enough - here are some of my favorites from their session . . .

Introducing Jude!
Being a gangsta baby ain't easy.
The other day I shot some portraits of the insanely cute brand new baby Jude. He was so great, but my favorite thing about him was that he kept throwing gang signs and staring me down. Then he put on his hoodie. This is one bad baby - watch out world!

Schmitt Family Fun
When Tyler Schmitt asked me if I would take his family's portraits I was thrilled and so honored that he would think of me! I knew, after all, that the Schmitts are the cutest ever, so this would be really fun. Well, I had no idea that when I showed up to shoot their pictures, I would suddenly feel like I was in kindergarten, holding a camera, and having NO idea what I was doing! It's amazing how taking portraits of a professional photographer can turn you into a mushy mess. :) Somehow I got it together a got some great pictures of this beautiful family and had a really fun time with them!
Here are a few of my favorites from our time together . . .
Brand new baby Palmer was a hoot to shoot!
Cutie Georgia and Mom
The whole fam!
As I was editing these pictures, I was trying to imagine what it would be like to have Tyler as your dad! :) All I can say is that Georgia is constantly giggling and flying around - fun!
Oh my gosh. Olivia is such a great mom. She's so fun and she plays with her kids so well! She and Tyler make an incredible team!
Big sister Georgia with little Palmer - she's not totally into loving him "gently" yet. It's still really fun to hit him and tug on him. :)
Itsn't Georgia so beautiful?
Poor Palms. Life is rough when you're forced to wear a hat with pom poms on it.
Cute. Cute. Cute!

Shanan's Bridals
One word for Shanan: Wow. She is SO beautiful! The awesome thing is, she also has a heart of gold to go along with her looks! :) I had a blast hanging out with Shanan, her mom and her sister Shelly yesterday during Shanan's bridal portraits. We literally dragged her dress through dirt and glass and trash and the girl never once complained. As a result of her trusting me (thanks, Shan!), we got some awesome shots! Here's a few of my favorites . . .

Jen's Senior Portraits!
Yesterday was the perfect day for pictures and I got to take full advantage of it with my new friend Jen who will be graduating from high school this year and needed some fun, funky, and fresh senior portraits! Well, she came to the right gal! :)
Jen is interested in possibly attending OU (we'll forgive her!) and majoring in Communication. She's been thinking of doing event planning, so I made sure she wouldn't forget me when she's planning all her fabulous events! :)
Here are a few pictures from our time together . . .

Little Baby Caroline
I'm in love! :) The moment I met little Caroline, my heart melted! The other day I went over to Resha's house to take some long-overdue newborn portraits of her first baby. Caroline is beautiful, sweet, gentle, alert, aware, and as cuddly as could be! I had so much fun taking her picture! By the time the session was over, however, Caroline had had enough of me and let me know it - haha! I'm sure she'll be glad she let me stick around a while one day when she can understand how darn cute these pics are! :)
