I know because I haven't been able to move mine all day. I woke up this morning with a slight crick in my neck and it just continued to get worse all day. Even after I took Advil, my condition declined. Right now I look totally stupid. I have to kind of hang my head because I cannot hold it up, so I have to look up with my eyes in order to see what's straight in front of me.
The funny thing is, I was making myself look very similar to this yesterday at my friend Magen's birthday party because I was trying to be silly. We were making funny faces and taking pictures of ourselves. Is it possible that, after all the times I was told as a kid not to make a face because "it might get stuck like that", it's actually happening to me right now?!
Here are some things you cannot do without your neck:
1) Check your blind spot while driving.
2) Turn around to look behind you when someone calls your name.
3) Play ping-pong (possibly the most tragic complication).
4) Look to see if the cloud cover has dissipated.
5) Keep Buddy from licking your face.
Here's a couple of fun pictures I found of Stan and I from when we were in NYC last February. Enjoy. :)

Making stuff is fun.
It seems like I have been looking for some cute vintage chairs to add to my living room forever. I went to Ikea, Target, antique stores, Kohls, Bed Bath and Beyond, and more, hoping to find what I was looking for. Well, the other day I was in Thrift Town and I saw these two HIDEOUS chairs and I knew right away that I had to have them! They were $9.99 each "As Is", which included mold stains, water damage, and paint splattered all over the wood and the cushions. Even the bottom of one of the seats was cracked.
As I sat there, head cocked to one side, looking at these pitiful things, I started to feel sad. I could see that underneath the wear and tear, there were two beautiful, sturdy, and classy chairs that had now been neglected for many years. The same feeling that I had when I picked Buddy out from amongst his puppy brothers and sisters (he was the runt and they were jumping on him as he shook in the corner) now washed over me and I knew I had to rescue these poor chairs.
With just a little TLC and some help from my Dad, we gave these chairs new life and I am very pleased with the results. :) All together, the cost of these chairs (paint + materials + glue gun + glue + staples) was $75 ($37.50 each). The best part was definitely the time I got to spend with my Dad working on this. We hardly ever get to do this type of thing anymore now that I am away from home. It was a great reminder that he is an all-wise, creative handy-man and I his trusty little extra-pair-of-hands sidekick. :)
Before pictures (these do not do justice to just how nasty these things were):
you guys recognize my coffee cup, right? had to put it down to take the pic! :)

Just doing stuff
Hey everyone!
I haven't blogged in a couple of days because I've just been doing a bunch of boring stuff and I didn't want to bore yall, too! :) I've been getting some stuff done for the Bridal Extravaganza (June 10th - Palmer Events Center - come see me!!) and getting ready for my week at Camp Allen. I am going there to help out next week and I cannot wait! This is the summer camp I worked at in college and I'm so excited because a bunch of my old friends will be there to help out too. I am the official photographer for the week, so that will be fun. :)
One cool thing is that my folks stopped by our house yesterday on the way to their log cabin vacation "somewhere near San Antonio". They are so cute. My dad helped me with a little project I'll show you tomorrow and it turned out SO great!
Anyway, I'll post some pictures from that project tomorrow, but that's about all I have for now. Also, check back for pictures from Whitney and Dustin's fabulous engagement session that I'll post on Friday!
Peace and love,
Stacy

Jennie & Marcus: Engaged!
Last night I had the absolute best time with Jennie and Marcus as we were shooting their engagement pics! First of all, I am totally in love with this couple. Jennie and I knew each other in college through our mutual friend, Meredith. Mere was the maid of honor in my wedding and soon she'll be the maid of honor in Jennie's wedding in January! (Mere is pretty honorable. :) )
I am so thrilled and blessed to get to share Jennie and Marcus's big day with them. They are so perfect together - their chemistry is something you just want to step back and watch! They were willing to do anything for their pictures (even run through sprinklers - we didn't, but they were willing!) and it made for some awesome pics! I asked them to trust me and they did that completely. And the whole time they couldn't keep their hands or their eyes off one another. We all laughed so much and really enjoyed the evening together. :)
I have many favorites, but here's a few. Jennie & Marcus - I love yall and can't wait for January 12th!

Album city
Hello there! I am so excited to announce that I just received my sample album in the mail from my new album company and it is hot stuff. :) I thought I would post some pictures here so that my brides & grooms can see what their albums will look like. Thank you to all of you who have waited so patiently to see these - I am very pleased with the result!
If you booked with me before I offered these albums or if I shot your wedding a long time ago and you think you may be intersted in having an album made, please feel free to drop me a line for information about pricing and options!
This is a 10x10 Flushmount Album in black leather
Flushmount albums have very thick pages - and I have chosen this type of album for it's durability. I want you to have a wedding album that will last for generations to come!
The pages are smooth, but they do not bend - I guess they could if you tried really hard, but please don't do that. :)
This album was designed entirely by me, as your wedding album will be - hooray!
Two-page spread designs allow for awesome panoramic pictures in your album. (can you spot the seam?!)

Laura & Richard's Wedding
Wow. First of all, I must say, that I have NEVER had so much difficulty picking my favorite pictures from a wedding to share with you guys on the blog. Here's the problem: I have too many favorites because there are too many AWESOME pictures from Laura & Richard's Wedding! (what a problem to have, huh?) :)
Laura and Richard had a beautiful wedding on Saturday morning at St Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Dripping Springs. They were surrounded by a wonderful group of family and friends as they became husband and wife. Following the wedding, they had a lunch reception complete with great coffee from Kenny's and - my favorite - a chocolate fountain! Yay!
Everyone had a great time and the day was just perfect! Here's a few of my favorite pictures, but there's a ton more where they came from! Laura and Richard: thanks for letting me spend the day with you guys - I had so much fun! Have a great honeymoon!
Laura's dad had everyone cracking up with his hilarious toast
I always love the moment when the bride & groom are deciding whether or not to smash the cake in each other's faces
And the crowd anticipation!
A case of being in the right place at the right time
